The College operates a post-qualification system where offers are made following the release of A level results each year. Final entry requirements are not determined until A level results or equivalent have been received and processed.   • All applicants for Secondary courses of Initial Teacher Education must have GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • The GCE A level/ VCE subjects listed are required as part of the selection process. Advice on examinations deemed to be equivalent may be obtained by contacting the Admissions Office. Applicants should do this prior to submitting an application.
  • For applicants applying from the Republic of Ireland, Leaving Certificate English and Mathematics Grade D (Ordinary) are minimum requirements for both Primary and Secondary courses of Initial Teacher Education.
  • Applicants from the Republic of Ireland must have or be undertaking 6 Irish Leaving Certificates at higher level in order to be considered for the BEd Primary or Secondary courses.
