| My research interest is modern Irish history, particularly Irish republicanism. I have written the history of Sinn Fein, entitled 'Sinn Fein: a hundred turbulent years' (Dublin, 2002) and 'A Pocket History of the Troubles' (Dublin, 2005). I am also a co-author of 'Lost Lives: the stories of the men, women and children killed in the troubles' which won the Christopher Ewart-Biggs prize for promoting reconciliation in Europe. I have reviewed a large number of publications in the Irish Times, Sunday Business Post, Sunday Tribune and have contributed extensively to periodicals and magazines including the Tablet and Parliamentary Briefing. |
