SAANI Women’s Day Conference
St Mary’s was delighted to be the venue for the SAANI Women’s Day Conference. Organised by the Sudanese Advocacy Association Northern Ireland (SAANI), the Horn of Africa People Action (HAPANI) community group and the Sudanese Youth and Women’s Organisation, the event brought together women living and working in Belfast from Sudan and Somalia. The Conference provided a venue for the women to discuss issues affecting the women. The day coincided with the end of Ramadan, EID and Sudanese Mother’s Day.
