Tuition Fee Loan
You may apply for a tuition fee loan. Taking out a tuition fee loan means that fees are paid directly to the College on your behalf. The amount you borrow does not depend on household income.

Maintenance Loan
To help with living costs, you may apply for a maintenance loan. This money is paid over three instalments directly into your nominated bank account at the start of each term.

Maintenance Grant
Depending on your household income, you may be eligible for help with living costs in the form of a maintenance grant – the amount that you can receive depends on your household income.

St Mary’s Bursary
St Mary’s will provide additional financial support, based on assessed household income, in the form of a non-repayable annual College Bursary. The amount of the College Bursary will be dependent on the level of assessed household income.
You do not need to complete a separate application form to be assessed for a College Bursary.
Disabled Students’ Allowance
The Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) is additional funding to help students with extra essential costs as a direct result of a disability. This can include a long-term health condition, mental-health condition, physical disability or specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia. You can apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance on it’s own or alongside any other available finance as part of your student finance application.
How much you can get depends on your individual needs and not your household income.
Student Support Funds
Each year an amount is made available to the College to provide help to students who have serious financial difficulties or who might not otherwise be able to afford to enter higher education. Applications are made through the College Finance Office.
Fees
Students from the Republic of Ireland pay the same tuition fees as students from Northern Ireland. The fees are £4,750 for full-time undergraduate. If you do not take out a tuition fee loan you will be invoiced for the full fee.

Maintenance Grant
You may apply for help with the costs of higher education through SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland), Ireland’s national awarding authority for all higher and further education grants. SUSI offers funding to eligible students in approved full-time third-level education.
Your household income will be assessed when you apply for a maintenance grant and there are also some other conditions.
