The event was opened by INTO Northern Committee Chair Marty Lavery, who introduced Professor Peter Finn KSG, Principal of St Mary’s as the keynote speaker. Professor Finn delivered a compelling and thought-provoking lecture on ‘Initial Teacher Education in an Era of TransformED: Continuity and Change’.
As the College celebrates its 125th anniversary year, the lecture offered an engaging and thought-provoking reflection on the evolving landscape of education and Initial Teacher Education.
INTO Northern Committee Chair Marty Lavery also announced the winner of the Brendan Harron INTO Art Competition, Caroline Gallagher Lavery. Her beautiful painting, ‘Meanders at Murlough’, was a truly deserving winner this year.
