Dutch ‘Education and Diversity’ Conference
St Mary’s has had an ongoing partnership with the University of Applied Sciences Windesheim, Zolle, in the Netherlands for over thirty years. Again, in April 2026, the College hosted the Dutch ‘Education and Diversity’ study trip and conference. Over twenty students and staff from the Dutch university spent time getting to know cultural, educational, and professional aspects of life in Belfast. They spent time in Currie Primary and St Patrick’s Primary in North Belfast and while in the city met with Lord Mayor Tracy Kelly. The programme was led by Rianne Wirl-Kooiker and Agnes de Vries from the Education Department at Windesheim.
