Stormont Visit
International Students from St Mary’s were invited this week to get an insight into the workings of government at Stormont. They were briefed by the Education Office, toured the building, and visited the chambers. They were joined by Professor Nataliia Tikhonova, a visiting academic to the College from Kyiv National University and Professor Gerard McCann.

The Down and Connor Schools’ Support Service marked Catholic Schools Week with its annual presentation of the Spirt of Catholic Education Awards. On Wednesday 21 January 2026, as part of the Catholic Schools’ Week celebrations, thirty-one schools from nursery, primary and post-primary schools in the diocese of Down and Connor gathered in St Mary’s University College, to receive their award from His Lordship, Bishop Alan McGuckian.
Belfast Lord Mayor Welcomes International Students

Belfast Lord Mayor Tracy Kelly welcomed a group of new international students to the city this week. A cohort of Erasmus students from partner universities in Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, and Hungary visited Belfast City Hall, where they were greeted by the Lord Mayor before enjoying a guided tour of the historic building.
