UK-Germany Youth Summit, Berlin
Congratulations to our St Mary’s student teacher Caitlin Mackey, who was selected to attend the UK–Germany Youth Summit in Berlin, which took place from 19th to 22nd March.
From over 1,300 applicants, Caitlin was one of only 35 young leaders chosen to participate in this prestigious programme — a remarkable achievement that reflects her dedication, leadership, and commitment to civic engagement.
The summit, a key initiative under the UK–Germany Kensington Treaty, fosters cooperation between the two countries through education, youth exchange, and democratic dialogue. Participants engaged in workshops and discussions exploring disinformation, diversity, civic engagement, and democracy, while building meaningful connections and developing global perspectives.
Caitlin’s selection highlights both her personal and professional growth as well as St Mary’s ongoing commitment to cultivating leadership, intercultural understanding, and community engagement among its students.
Well done to Caitlin for representing St Mary’s on the international stage.
