‘Green’ issues have begun to dominate political, social and economic discourse across many societies and cultures. This module introduces students to this emerging area of study, outlining current debates and offering an introduction into theories and perspectives which underpin those debates. The understanding of sustainability is very broad but it brings a number of key elements into relationship: ecological conservation, sustainable development and social justice, to name a few.
