Solidarity and Hope, Dlúthpháirtíocht agus Dóchas

St Mary’s College came together in a spirited celebration of music, dance, and solidarity during a fundraising Trad Session held in support of Medical Aid for Palestine.

The event was a resounding success, filled with energy, joy, and a strong sense of community. Sincere thanks go to everyone who helped make the day possible, from the set dance teachers and enthusiastic dancers (reluctant at first, but experts by the end!), to our talented traditional musicians and singer, A/V support, the catering team, the poster designer, reprographics, our photographer, Palestine Drinks, the Office of the Principal, the Students’ Union, and the many staff and students who joined in.

Throughout the session, the atmosphere reflected the very best of St Mary’s: compassion, creativity, and collective action. In the face of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the college community stood together for justice, peace, and solidarity.

The St Mary’s Staff and Student Palestine Solidarity Group extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to this meaningful and memorable event. It was a powerful reminder that music and community can be forces for hope and change, and a testament to what St Mary’s is all about. We look forward to seeing you at the next event!
