St Mary’s was represented at the Education Development in Ukraine (EDUWAP) consortium meeting in Warsaw by Prof. Gerard McCann.

The international panel was brought together to plan for a major summit on education to be held at our partner university Lesya Ukrainka University in Lutsk, Ukraine. Gathering in the University of Warsaw, the university officials outlined ongoing plans for the consortium, including joint awards, psycho-social support initiatives, ongoing research, student and staff exchanges.

While there they met with the United Nations Development Programme representative from Kyiv to look at formally partnering the network with the UNDP. Prof McCann was also able to finalise an MoU with Kyiv National University (KUNCA), signed off by Prof. Peter Finn.
